Everything about CartridgeBond.

Common questions on pricing, matching, safety, fees, and the Milwaukee beta.

CartridgeBond matches Nintendo Switch game buyers and sellers with prices locked in before anyone meets. We are launching in Milwaukee and the North Shore so we can prove the model with local meetups, then opening nationally with shipping and escrow shortly after.

You submit what you have or want, lock in our researched market price and condition, and we find a compatible match.

Soon. The Milwaukee beta is how we prove the model - locked pricing, real matches, real trades - without the complexity of shipping and escrow. Once we have a track record we are opening nationally with full shipping support and escrow protection.

If you are outside Milwaukee, join the waitlist and we will email you the moment we expand to your area.

Price is locked before anyone meets. Both parties commit before the meetup so there is no "is it still available," no door-side renegotiation, no flaky 30-message threads. Every submission is held to our A1 condition standard.

Facebook Marketplace works, but the time you spend babysitting an inbox often dwarfs the cash difference.

The Bond is our timeline feature. Most marketplaces force you to sell now or buy now. The Bond lets you commit today to a trade in 30, 60, or 90 days at the same locked price - regardless of when the trade actually happens.

As a buyer, you can pre-arrange the trade for whenever you'll be ready (e.g., after finishing your current backlog). As a seller, you can lock in your sale today even if you don't ship for 90 days. The Bond is a commitment, not a price prediction. We don't bet on depreciation - the price is the price.

You submit a game with your locked-in price, condition, and timeline. Our auto-matcher pairs you with a compatible buyer or seller in the area. Once matched, both parties get an email with the meetup details.

The price is fixed at submission - no door-side renegotiation, no surprise changes.

Our auto-matcher runs every 15 minutes and pairs you with the closest compatible buyer or seller. Most matches happen within 48 hours. During the Milwaukee beta, every listing is held to the A1 condition standard before going live.

Popular titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom typically match within hours.

Prices are based on current secondary market rates - what games actually sell for between private parties locally and on eBay (sold listings, not asking prices). We cross-reference Wisconsin eBay sold data, PriceCharting Complete-condition values, and observed local activity.

Sellers lock in their price at submission and it does not change at the meetup.

$0 platform fees during beta - both buyers and sellers pay nothing. After beta, sellers will continue to net the full locked price (we never take a fee from sellers), and buyers will pay a small platform fee on top of the locked price - think 3-5%. This is similar to how StockX and GOAT structure fees.

The reasoning: sellers should always get exactly what we promised them. Buyers absorb the small platform fee in exchange for seller-declared A1 condition, locked-in pricing, and meetup logistics handled for them. Net effect for sellers: same as today, forever. For buyers: still cheaper than eBay after their fees + shipping.

The first 25 founders to complete a trade get free trades for life on both sides. We will give 30 days notice before any fee changes.

No - and that's actually the point. CartridgeBond uses researched market pricing for every Nintendo Switch title, based on what the game actually sells for in similar condition. You see the locked price upfront, your match sees the same locked price, and there is no negotiation in between. This is what lets us promise no haggling, no lowballs, and no door-side renegotiation.

The only choice is timeline - now, 30, 60, or 90 days. The price is the same across all four. The Bond is a commitment to do the trade, not a bet on depreciation. We do all the pricing research so you don't have to.

A1 means the cartridge plays perfectly, the original case is included, and there are no deep scratches or condition surprises. Like new or very good.

Specifically: clean cartridge pins, no missing case, plays without errors, only minor surface scuffs allowed. B1 (good) and B2 (fair) tiers are coming soon for less-than-A1 listings.

Currently we focus on Nintendo Switch physical cartridges - the most popular and liquid resale category. The catalog includes 25+ top titles with researched pricing, and we add new games as demand emerges.

Always meet at a public place during daylight hours. Police station parking lots, libraries, busy coffee shops, and grocery store entrances are ideal. Bring someone if you can.

Yes - reply to your confirmation email and we'll cancel it. If you've already been matched, both parties will be notified.

We collect only what we need to match you: name, email, zip code, optional phone, and your meetup preferences. We never sell your information. We share contact details only with your matched counterparty after both have committed.
